Summer Favorites

I'm banning myself from editing photos and putting up a new recipe this week, it's the final countdown to the boards (1 more day!) and I guess I should probably focus on studying. Plus I can't really top my watermelon-lime jello shots from last week quite yet. But I don't want to leave you hanging, so I've decided to share some of my favorite summer desserts from last year:

The most popular post on the blog -- they're tart, sweet, and sure to please!

One of my favorite summer cocktails in a frozen form!

Craving s'mores with no campfire in sight? Make these cookies instead!

A popular flavor made with a bikini-conscious recipe

Made with tequila and fresh limes, they're the perfect summer cupcake

Okay so I seemed to have also gone with the theme of "cupcakes with straws in them" and "alcohol put in desserts" here, but I think we can all agree that drinking is somewhat of a necessity during the summer.

Oh, and these aren't exactly summer-themed, but you should probably make them this weekend anyway:

I'll be seeing the movie Sunday night - can't wait!
(It took a lot of willpower not to choose the picture with a straw in the cupcake for this one...)

  6. Good luck! I just (finally), after seven weeks of waiting, got my boards results. So I'll tell you that, though you'll feel like it was a total disaster immediately afterward, it will all turn out fine. And bake a batch of cupcakes the night before. You'll want them the next day. And you'll need some stress relief.
